Install Mod Organizer 2

Frost Arcana currently uses MO2 as the stable deployment layer. Download MO2, create a clean Skyrim AE instance, then import the Frost Arcana profile and modlist structure.

Quick Installation Flow

  1. Clean SkyrimUse a fresh Skyrim AE install. Do not start from a heavily modified Data folder.
  2. Install MO2Create a Frost Arcana instance and point it to your Skyrim folder.
  3. Install the modlistFollow the MO2 left-pane priority shown on this site. Priority 1 is the lowest foundation.
  4. Enable pluginsUse the provided plugin/load-order guide once available.
  5. Run outputsPandora → PGPatcher → xLODGen → TexGen → DynDOLOD → Occlusion.
  6. Launch through SKSEAlways launch through the configured MO2/SKSE executable.

Outputs are not normal Nexus downloads. They must be generated after the list is finalized.

Frost Arcana One-Click Installer

The dedicated installer will be developed separately so the public website stays clean, stable, and trustworthy. The first release will focus on safe setup detection and guided installation before we add full Nexus automation.

Installer v0.1 Detect Skyrim, detect MO2, validate SKSE, import Frost Arcana profile, and guide output generation.
Installer v0.2 Add manifest validation, missing file checks, profile health checks, and safer setup repair prompts.
Future Full Automation Nexus API support, download queue, hash validation, and premium-assisted automatic mod downloading.

For now, use the manual/MO2 guide below. This keeps Frost Arcana stable while the installer is built properly.

Troubleshooting

  • Missing SKSE: reinstall SKSE and make sure MO2 launches through SKSE.
  • Missing masters: verify plugins and required parent mods.
  • Broken animations: rerun Pandora.
  • Broken LOD: rerun xLODGen, TexGen, DynDOLOD, then Occlusion.
  • Visual mismatch: verify weather, snow, terrain, roads, trees, and grass sections.
